05/02/2016 - Hustings, Police Crime Commissioner candidates for the Labour Party in Sussex

You are invited to an informal hustings between the two prospective Police Crime Commissioner candidates for the Labour Party in Sussex. All Labour Party members from across Sussex are invited to join.

Informal hustings between the two candidates for Police Crime Commissioner is hosted by Brighton, Hove and District Labour Party. These are important posts as not only is the government proposing that they could take over Fire and Rescue Service today it was announced that Police and Crime Commissioners could also take over failing schools, this makes the post a highly important post for all people in Sussex.

At 7pm (Doors open from 6:45pm) sharp and will be over by 7:45pm. These hustings will be informal, allow people to meet the candidates and ask questions to them ahead of the separate vote.

The two candidates are Cllr Michael Jones from Crawley and Charles Taylor of Henfield. Statements from candidate will be sent to all members and copies will be available on that day.

Following the hustings, from 8pm on the Wednesday 10th February Brighton Hove and District Labour Members will vote who to nominate as the Labour Candidate to be the Sussex Police Crime Commissioner. Each CLP will vote in their own members meeting and these votes will then form who is selected as the Labour Candidate

Mid Susex CLP PCC debate and vote (for those eligible) will be held at 15 Junction Rd, Burgess Hill, Wed. 8pm 17th Feb
