Your Labour Candidates - Town Ward, East Grinstead

DAVID WILBRAHAM

Town and District Council Candidate

David is a chartered civil engineer, working for a design consultancy. As a lifelong rail commuter, and occasional bus user, he knows that cuts and government failures have made people's daily travel more difficult and expensive.

David has lived in East Grinstead for over 10 years, and is married with adult children. He has seen the difficulties that young people face in affording housing, and planning for their future.

"As a Labour Party member I am committed to upholding our values. We care about people; we want everyone to fulfil their life opportunities, to live in a decent home, to live without fear and to have public services available to them when needed."

TESS FENSTERHEIM

Town and District Council Candidate

Tess has worked for local councils and for Shelter, helping people threatened with homelessness, and in social care, so she knows how difficult it is for local people on low incomes to find any affordable housing of any sort in our area.

She will demand that developers actually provide the normal 30% of affordable housing if they want any housing projects approved.

Tess is married with two adult children and has lived in East Grinstead for many years.

Tess walks her hound dog and will try to preserve the lovely walking routes we have.

Tess was dependent on public transport to get to work; her daughter did shift work at Gatwick. Tess will fight for affordable bus services that enable us to get to work whenever that starts, and continues into the evenings and weekends so we can enjoy the area without the need to own a car.
