Burgess Hill thanks the NHS for 70 years of service
Mid Sussex Members were flying the flag as thousands marched through London to celebrate 70 years of the on Saturday 30 Jun, despite the huge crowds there was very little media coverage.
Then on Saturday, 7th July, Mid Sussex Labour held a street stall in Burgess Hill with leaflets and a giant birthday card to help us to remind the people of Mid Sussex of this great Labour achievement - they did not need reminding, we collected well over 200 signatures from the good people of Burgess Hill in less than two hours, all showing how much this great service is valued, some sharing stories of staff going above and beyond to care for loved ones, family and friends.
Members of Burgess Hill Labour Party then presented the large 70th Birthday NHS Birthday Card to Princess Royal Hospital on behalf of residents of the Town. Chair of Burgess Hill Labour Party, David Andrews, said "It was humbling to see the real affection, appreciation and enthusiasm that people of Mid Sussex have for this great Labour Party achievement and for the staff, past and present who have provided the services.
