07/03/2017 – Press Release – Defend our NHS: Public Meeting 14th March 2017
Mid Sussex Labour Party invites local people to join together and help defend the NHS and Social Care. Pam Haigh, Chair of Mid Sussex Labour Party said, "We want to build on last Saturday's well attended London Rally which was supported by people from across the country. Our Burgess Hill Branch is organising a public meeting next week."
Pam added, "If you want to find out more about the state of the NHS and Social Care try and attend the meeting at Cyprus Hall, Burgess Hill. You don't have to be a member of the Labour Party, everyone is welcome. Whether you have political views or not everyone's support for the NHS & Social Care is vital now. The greater the range of opinions the better will be the debate on such vital services. "
Doors at Cyprus Hall will open at 7.30 pm, for an 8 pm start. The evening features guest speakers involved with the issues facing the NHS and Social Care. Besides individual short talks each speaker will answer questions from the audience.
David Andrews, Chair of the Burgess Hill Branch stressed, "We hope for a lively debate on ways to improve these services. We cannot let them be starved of funds or privatised. Our NHS should remain the envy of other countries."
There is no charge for admittance to the meeting, but Burgess Hill Labour Party will welcome donations to help pay for the hall Hire.
