Your Labour Candidate: SUE JEX
West Sussex County Council Burgess Hill East Division
I have lived in Burgess Hill East for over 20 years and I'm passionate about the local people and local issues. Having commuted from Burgess Hill to London for all of that time I now work part time from home.
In my professional life I am an accountant, working with companies to understand and improve their strategies and their culture.
Outside of work she I am a Board member of Amnesty International UK, a role I have held for 3 years now and prior to that spent 2 years working with refugees in Calais ensuring their human rights were met as much as was possible. I am married and have 2 sons and a grandson who also all live in Burgess Hill.
Local services are so important and ensuring everyone has the support they need is critical, whether that be the Sure Start Centres here in Burgess Hill, fire and rescue services or roads. I want to make sure the residents of West Sussex have spend that is properly prioritised, properly spent and that we truly are accountable to you the voters.

FIGHTING FOR KEY ISSUES
LET’S PROTECT SERVICES
In the next few years Council Departments will face massive financial challenges in delivering services to everyone in West Sussex. Now is the time to challenge the complacent and unambitious status quo in the county. In order to drive for public money to be better spent, it is vital that we have Labour Councillors in County Hall, Chichester from 2021 to scrutinise decisions. With your support, I can get elected and do that job.
YOUR LABOUR TEAM FOR HASSOCKS, BURGESS HILL, HURSTPIERPOINT & BOLNEY
I am not the only candidate for a local County Council seat. My fellow team members standing for other seats are Pam Haigh, Fred Burns and Alison Whelan. Together we will campaign on your behalf on issues that are important to Labour Party members and people in Haywards Heath and the surrounding villages. Shortly we will be in touch with you to help us determine the main issues and how you may be able to help our campaigns. Meanwhile I hope you can stay safe in these challenging times.
